KeyW Holding (Nasdaq: KEYW) will aim to address the Defense Department‘s information technology requirements via a position on the potential 10-year, $7.5 billion Systems Engineering, Technology and Innovation contract the Defense Information Systems Agencyawarded on June 14.
The company secured its spot on the unrestricted pool through a full and open competition, qualifying it to compete for engineering task orders to support the research, design, development, integration and optimization of DoD’s IT systems and platforms, KeyW said Thursday.
Kirk Herdman, executive vice president for KeyW’s corporate strategy and business development, said the company intends to provide modern and mature technologies to help in DISA’s efforts to address warfighters’ engineering and technical needs for interoperable information systems.
KeyW is one of 14 companies selected out of 35 candidates for the SETI contract’s unrestricted pool.
The SETI award is registered as part of KeyW’s second fiscal quarter.
