Asbury, a six-time Wash100 awardee, most recently led CACI as president and CEO while Ashworth, a 2014 Wash100 inductee, previously served as vice president of government relations at Northrop, Geospace Technologies said Tuesday.
Both industry veterans will join the Houston-based seismic instrument provider’s board as the company looks to grow security and surveillance market presence as part of expansion efforts following its acquisition of OptoSeis and Quantum Technology Sciences.
Asbury, who retired from CACI in June last year after six years at the helm, previously served as CEO of ASRC Federal and held a 27-year career at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
“Ken will bring more than three decades of executive leadership and deep experience in federal government business relations,” said Gary Owens, Geospace chairman of the board.
Ashworth is former VP of Washington operations at General Electric’s aviation arm and spent 14 years as a Senate Appropriations Committee member as well as a civilian senior leader at the Department of the Army.
“Sid will offer valuable insight from her more than 25 years of experience in legislative affairs,” Owens added.
