She will replace Michael Chertoff, who has held the board chair post at BAE Systems Inc. since April 2012, and take over the role when Chertoff completes his term this month, the company said Monday.
Ayotte, who joined the subsidiary’s board in June 2017, previously represented New Hampshire in the Senate for six years and chaired the Senate Armed Services Committee’s readiness and management support panel.
