A subsidiary ofKBR (NYSE: KBR) has been awarded a potential five-year, $442 million contract to provide engineering support services for more than 20 Earth and space science missions at NASA.
KBRwyle Technology Solutions will support concept studies, formulation development, design, implementation, systems and sustaining engineering, decommissioning, integration, ground system and operations product testing and mission operations under the Ground Systems and Missions Operations-2 contract, NASA said Saturday.
KBRwyle was formed upon closing of the Houston-based engineering and construction firm KBR’s acquisition of government engineering and technical services contractor Wyle in July 2016.
Missions covered by the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract include the Solar Dynamics Observatory, Polar Operational Environmental Satellite, Global Precipitation Measurement, Magnetospheric Multi-Scale, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution and James Webb Space Telescope.
The contract’s ordering period is scheduled to begin March 1 and will run through Feb. 28, 2022.
