Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has been awarded a potential $873M contract for analytic, engineering, research, development, test and evaluation services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
The Washington Headquarters Services announced the contract award in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday.
APL will support OSD in global-regional efforts to develop weapons systems and help evaluate concepts and proposals as well as analyze systems and components.
The nonprofit research organization will also provide independent quantitative performance evaluations of complex weapons and test architecture as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
Work also includes simulation, modeling and operations assessment, cost analysis and analysis of alternatives.
