Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has been awarded a $2.35B contract modification by the U.S. Navy to provide research, development and engineering services to Department of Defense programs.
This award increases the maximum ceiling amount of APL’s indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to $7.11B, the Pentagon said Friday.
Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate funds on each task order under the IDIQ encompassing core competency areas such as submarine capabilities, strategic systems, space technology, guided missiles, information technology, simulation, modeling, operations analysis, air defense and combat platforms.
DoD program offices may also appropriate funds for task orders in the areas of undersea warfare, radar systems, missiles, space missions, information warfare and command, control and communication operations.
The laboratory will perform work under the modification in Laurel, Md., through September 2022.
