Joan Bishop, formerly a director at KPMG US, has joined Maximus' (NYSE: MMS) federal arm as vice president of clinical services.
She will lead the design and implementation of the company's federal health strategy that includes creating new clinically-related service offerings and establishing relationships with multiple sectors, Bishop said in a LinkedIn post published Thursday.
Bishop previously led business development functions for the Military Health System Markets and Department of Veterans Affairs markets at Optum and General Dynamics' (NYSE: GD) information technology business.
Her industry career also includes time at Advoco, Encore Health Resources, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
