O’Connor has more than 30 years of experience in federal contracting and technology leadership, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to assuming his new role, he served as senior vice president of cyber and analytics at Leidos. He previously held senior vice president roles overseeing the company’s national solutions and homeland security solutions businesses, as well as deputy president positions within Leidos’ intelligence and advanced solutions groups.

As president of the intel sector, O’Connor oversees more than 5,000 employees who develop programs for intelligence and defense organizations. The programs involve work spanning cyber, software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, analytics, intelligence analysis, and linguistics.
