Jacobs (NYSE: J) will provide architect-engineering services to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Great Lakes National Program Office and Superfund and Emergency Management Division under a potential five-year, $450 million contract.
EPA announced the award of the Superfund and Great Lakes Architect-Engineer Services contract in a notice published Monday on SAM.gov.
The SFGLAES indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also covers technical and management services to support EPA’s remediation efforts under SEMD and GLNPO authorities.
Contract services include site management; habitat evaluation and restoration plans; remedial investigation and feasibility studies; engineering services to design remedial actions; and engineering support in overseeing construction; remedial design; operations and maintenance assistance; enforcement support; and other technical assistance, including sampling and analysis support, community involvement and human health and ecological risk assessment, according to the statement of work.
EPA said the SFGLAES contract plays a key role in the acceleration of Superfund site cleanups and Great Lakes Legacy Act contaminated sediment cleanups meant to help mitigate risks to human health and the environment.
The agency issued the final solicitation for the contract in August 2022.
