Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) will provide operation and maintenance services to support the U.S. Navy in intelligent asset management under a potential $241.7M contract.
The company said Wednesday it will work at Naval Station Mayport and Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island in Jacksonville, Fla., and other areas supported by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast.
Steve Arnette, senior vice president of Jacobs’ aerospace, technology, environmental and nuclear business, said the company plans to increase infrastructure reliability and availability for the Navy by leveraging its technical and management services.
Under the contract, Jacobs will support port operations, facility management and investment, pavement clearance, utilities management, electrical, gas, wastewater, steam, water, environmental, and base support vehicles and equipment.
Work will begin on Jan. 1, 2019.
