The Department of the Interior is giving vendors until April 9 to submit offers for a potential five-year, $350 million contract for professional services intended to help the National Cancer Institute develop, implement and update biomedical research information technology platforms.
DOI issued a request for proposals Tuesday for the biomedical IT, software development and informatics support requirement on behalf of the federal government’s primary organization for cancer research efforts.
Specifically, NCI needs a contractor to assist personnel in addressing scientific missions across various areas such as clinical and translational research, semantic infrastructure and data sharing.
The institute is looking for potential vendors that have previous experience in biomedical informatics, scientific information exchange and abstraction of clinical trial records.
The contract has a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity structure with a 12-month base period and four 12-month options, according to the RFP notice posted on SAM .gov.
