IRS Issues RFI for Potential $2.6B Enterprise Development, Operations Services Task Order

The Internal Revenue Service is seeking information on potential sources that could provide information technology capabilities and services for its IT application development office.

The IRS plans to award a potential seven-year, $2.6 billion task order using a best-in-class, governmentwide acquisition contract in support of the Enterprise Development, Operations Services program, according to a request for information posted Thursday on the beta SAM website.

The agency expects the single-award EDOS IT task order to have a one-year base term, four one-year options and two one-year options that could be awarded to the contractor based on the satisfaction of performance requirements.

The scope of work is divided into two task areas: development, modernization and enhancement and sustainment – operations and maintenance. The agency’s development paths may include Agile, commercial off-the-shelf, mobile apps, waterfall, iterative and managed services, according to the performance work statement.

The vendor will provide project management, web design, planning, application development, enterprise life cycle processes and documentation, requirements specification analysis and customer coordination and consultation support, among other services.

Responses to the RFI are due March 31.
