ICF (Nasdaq: ICFI) has secured a position on a potential $150 million multiple-award contract from the National Institutes of Health for biomedical technical and data management services in support of its National Cancer Institute.
The digital services company said Wednesday it will provide scientific computing infrastructure and expertise in health research and bioinformatics to help NCI research cancer and other related topics.
Work under the five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes communications and web support, data management, biomedical computing platform and tool development as well as statistical modeling and analysis.
Mark Lee, executive vice president and public sector lead at ICF, shared that the company will continue its collaboration with NCI and further support its efforts focused on enhancing the research ecosystem and streamlining cancer-related data access.
“It’s important for NCI to maintain an optimized research infrastructure with robust biomedical computing platforms, complex modeling and data management systems,” he noted.
The award extends ICF’s over four-decade partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services components.
