Katharyn White
Katharyn White, a 21-year veteran of IBM (NYSE: IBM), has joined Mitre as senior vice president and general manager of the nonprofit company’s public sector business.
Mitre said Friday White will oversee strategic and customer engagement initiatives for federally funded research development centers the organization currently manages for multiple civilian agencies.
“Her wide-ranging experiences and inquisitive mindset will help us to further our strategy,” said Jason Providakes, president and chief executive officer of Mitre.
“I believe that with her leadership, we will continue to pioneer together for public good with our sponsors and partners,” Providakes added.
White previously served as VP of transformation at IBM’s global business services unit and led change management efforts for approximately 120,000 workers in that capacity.
She also held VP, managing partner and chief marketing roles within the international business, as well as helped establish a mobile business organization during her tenure as VP of IBM’s partnerships with Apple.
Before IBM, she worked in product management and leadership roles at DuPont and Hewlett Packard.
