IBM has received a potential 10-year, $576 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Defense Microelectronics Activity secure the production of commercial semiconductor technologies and services for military applications.
The DMEA Trusted Access Program Office requires the development of an evidence-based “trusted” enclave for manufacturing secure microelectronics in the commercial market as part of the Trusted Foundry Access III program, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Work will occur at the Semiconductor Fabrication facilities in Vermont, New York and Canada.
According to solicitation documents, the IDIQ covers the microelectronics manufacturing security component of the TFA III program to help establish a secure domestic supply chain for trusted, leading-edge application-specific integrated circuits through fiscal year 2033.
