Israel Aerospace Industries has won a potential $240M contract to manufacture wings for the U.S. Air Force's T-38 Talon supersonic trainer aircraft.
The service branch received four offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and will obligate $34.4M at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
IAI will perform work in Lod, Israel, through January 2033.

To date, there are 500 T-38s owned by the service branch and NASA. The aircraft’s current wing structure is composed of aluminum alloys with internal honeycomb features.
