Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has purchased Rocky Research in a deal of an undisclosed sum that adds thermal, energy and power management platforms to the Charlotte, North Carolina-based industrial conglomerate's aerospace segment.
Uwe Rockenfeller — owner, president and CEO of Rocky Research — will retain his president title following the integration and the firm's headquarters in Boulder City, Nevada, will be the research-and-development center of the combined company, Honeywell said Wednesday.
The acquired entity previously helped the U.S. Army deploy power and thermal management equipment.
