Mark Serway, chief financial officer of Hitachi Vantara‘s federal arm, has been appointed to serve as president and CEO at the government technology services provider on an acting basis.
Hitachi Vantara Federal said Monday its board of directors chose Serway to replace David Turner, who resigned after five years at the helm, as the company looks for a permanent successor.
The board intends to work with an executive search organization to identify qualified candidates for the chief executive position.
Serway joined Hitachi Vantara Federal in September 2017 after more than four years in the CFO role at systems integrator Govplace.
He previously held financial leadership roles at Akima, Employment Enterprises, Paradigm Solutions, Lockheed Martin IT, Getronics Government Solutions, Babcock & Wilcox and Boeing Computer Services.
