HII Technical Solutions Now Operates as Mission Technologies; Andy Green, Todd Borkey Quoted

Huntington Ingalls Industries, which now operates as HII (NYSE: HII) as part of a rebranding effort, changed the name of its Technical Solutions division to Mission Technologies after a series of acquisitions and the expansion of its national security capabilities.

Andy Green, an executive vice president of HII, will serve as president of HII’s Mission Technologies division, which is based in McLean, Virginia, and has six business operating groups, HII said Wednesday.

These business groups are command, control, computers, communications, cybersecurity, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; cyber, electronic warfare and space; unmanned systems; live, virtual, constructive solutions; fleet sustainment; and nuclear and environmental services.

“We are proud of our dedicated workforce addressing the evolving threats in support of our customers’ missions, and the name Mission Technologies underscores our offering for continued business growth,” said Green, a 2022 Wash100 Award winner.

HII Mission Technologies, which has over 100 facilities worldwide, will provide capabilities to support an all-domain force, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies and platform modernization.

Todd Borkey, chief technology officer of HII’s Mission Technologies division, said the emergence of technologies that accelerated data collection and processing at the edge has paved the way for new opportunities for human-machine teaming, enabling the division to deliver data-driven platforms to customers.
