How Much Revenue Did Each HII Business Segment Generate?
Revenue for HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding in Q1 FY26 was $725 million, a 13.8 percent increase compared to the same period in FY25. Meanwhile, Newport News Shipbuilding recorded $1.7 billion in revenue, a 19.3 percent YoY growth driven by higher demands for aircraft carriers, submarines and naval nuclear support.
Together, the shipbuilding business segments generated a total of $2.4 billion in revenue, higher than the $2.3 billion guidance the company previously provided for the quarter, shared Thomas Stiehle, executive vice president and chief financial officer of HII, via an earnings conference call transcript provided by The Motley Fool.
“Shipbuilding throughput has continued to improve with meaningful year over year growth in the first quarter as our team remains focused on driving efficiency and expanding the industrial base network,” Chris Kastner, the company’s president and CEO, added.
The Mission Technologies business segment also saw its revenue increase from $735 million in Q1 FY25 to $748 million in Q1 FY26. HII attributed the 1.8 percent growth to higher volumes in unmanned systems, all-domain operations and global security products.
What Is HII’s Financial Outlook for FY26?
The company reaffirmed its full-year financial guidelines, maintaining its expected shipbuilding revenue within the $9.7 billion to $9.9 billion. For its Mission Technologies business, the company anticipates revenue between $3 billion and $3.2 billion.
