HII has received a five-year, $296 million task order from the U.S. Air Force Installation Contracting Center’s 764 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron to provide air and space operation support services to the U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces in Africa, or USAFE-AFAFRICA.
Technical and Analytical Support for USAFE-AFAFRICA
The McLean, Virginia-headquartered all-domain defense provider said Tuesday its Mission Technologies division will deliver technical and analytical services to USAFE-AFAFRICA in support of its command and control; integrated air and missile defense; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance activities.
The Consolidated Mission Support task order builds on HII’s efforts under the Persistent Multi-Role Operations contract. The company has been supporting USAFE-AFAFRICA with the design, development, integration and management of sensors and other equipment needed for ISR missions. USAFE-AFAFRICA, operating from the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, conducts Air Force, European Command and Africa Command missions using forward-based airpower.
Todd Gentry, president of all domain operations at HII Mission Technologies, stated, “Through our continued partnership with USAFE-AFAFRICA, our team looks forward to applying our diverse skills and multi-national operations expertise to enhance the U.S. defense security posture in Europe and Africa and support the U.S. Department of Defense’s Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control strategy.”
