Heidi Wood Joins L-3 as VP, Chief Analytics Officer; Christopher Kubasik Comments

Heidi Wood, formerly senior vice president of strategy at Spirit AeroSystems (NYSE: SPR), has joined L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) as VP and chief analytics officer.

Wood will report directly to Christopher Kubasik, L-3 president and chief operating officer, and will be in charge of the company™s acquisitions strategy, business development and operational analysis functions, L-3 said Monday.

She will also help manage L-3™s investor relations in collaboration with Ralph D™Ambrosio, SVP and chief financial officer at L-3.

Kubasik said Wood will help the company implement corporate programs and work with the financial sector in her new role.

Wood, a 20-year defense and aerospace industry veteran, was also responsible for investor relations as well as mergers and acquisitions at Spirit AeroSystems.

She served as SVP of global sales and acquisitions at aviation services provider Avjet Corp. and spent more than 13 years at Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) as managing director and global head of aerospace and defense equity research.

Wood was former member of the board of the Presidential Commission on the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry and the Space Foundation.
