The Federal Acquisition Service at the General Services Administration announced leadership changes that are set to take effect on April 24, Federal News Network reported Friday.
“These adjustments will allow FAS to take procurement innovation to the next level and improve the customer and supplier experience, Sonny Hashmi, commissioner of FAS and a previous Wash100 Award winner, wrote in a memo to staff obtained by FNN.
Erv Koehler, assistant commissioner for the office of customer and stakeholder engagement at FAS, will oversee the office of general supplies and services, which provides acquisition, personal property disposition, supply and logistics support to the federal government.
Bill Toth, director of the office of fleet management, will become assistant commissioner and succeed Koehler as head of the office of customer and stakeholder engagement.
Charlotte Phelan, assistant commissioner for the office of travel, transportation and logistics, will oversee the office of enterprise strategy management and will be responsible for all modernization efforts at FAS.
Crystal Philcox, assistant commissioner for the office of strategy management, will lead and provide strategic direction for the office of travel, transportation and logistics, which acts as a category manager for non-tactical motor vehicle and travel categories.
Bob Noonan, assistant commissioner for the office of general supplies and services, will directly report to Hashmi as senior adviser for workplace programs and will lead FAS’ efforts in support of federal agencies as they transition to a more telework arrangement.
Hashmi said in the memo that he plans to conduct a town hall on April 6 to talk more about the priorities and vision of FAS.
