The General Services Administration has awarded 16 small businesses spots on the first phase of a potential $15B, 10-year contract to provide building maintenance and operations support for federal agencies at zone 1.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday says the companies will vie for task orders under the small business track of the on-ramp BMO Phase I multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The BMO Phase I SB contract vehicle has a five-year base term, five option years and another six-month option to extend services and covers heating, ventilating and air conditioning; plumbing and pipefitting; electrical maintenance; janitorial; and landscaping and ground maintenance support to zone 1 federal buildings.
Zone 1 covers government spaces and assets in Washington, D.C.; Delaware; Maryland; New Jersey; New York; Pennsylvania; Virginia; and West Virginia.
In July 2017, GSA selected 27 companies for the second phase of the BMO SB IDIQ contract that covers support services for government facilities at zones 2 through 6.
