The General Services Administration has released its amended solicitation for e-commerce platforms to help facilitate the procurement process for government agencies, Nextgov reported Friday.
GSA revised the request for proposals it issued in October after it received a protest. The updated RFP will require offerors to propose a full, working e-commerce platform and limit the performance period to a three-year base term.
“Please note that prospective offerors must have a functioning e-marketplace platform with B2B capabilities that can meet the requirements identified,” according to the revised RFP. “GSA is not seeking development services to build a new platform as that is not permissible under the authority granted under the Section 846 legislation.”
Vendors that responded to the original solicitation can submit their revised bids through Jan. 15. “New proposals will not be accepted by the government,” document states.
