The General Services Administration has established a potential 10-year, $2.1 billion multiple-award blanket purchase agreement that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration can use to procure information technology products and services from small enterprises to meet mission needs.
The NOAA Mission IT Services BPA is a small business set-aside vehicle that covers IT tools and services in areas such as enterprise and cloud computing, application administration, enterprise services, cybersecurity and information assurance, GSA said Wednesday.
The NMITS BPA uses GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule-IT Category contract and has a five-year base term and five option years. NOAA’s office of the chief information officer, NOAALink program office and the corporate services acquisition division of the agency’s acquisition and grants office will administer the BPA.
Laura Stanton, assistant commissioner for GSA’s IT Category, said the BPA will enable NOAA to focus on its missions and help accelerate its procurement process.
NOAA CIO Zachary Goldstein said NOAA relies on IT services for its missions and the award of the NMITS BPA will provide the agency rapid access to tech talent in the private sector to help modernize its information management systems and improve citizen services.
