The private equity firm said Friday the transaction provides GSP access to SMC machinery and processes at two New Hampshire-based facilities that offer flight-critical components to the aircraft engine market.
SMC CEO Mark McCarthy will remain in his role and support the business integration effort. The family-owned business specializes in computer numerical control machining, tube bending and fabrication, welding and brazing and reverse engineering services.
The purchase is the first for GSP since the company was bought by AEI in March 2020.
