Troy Schneider, general manager of Public Sector 360, will join GovExec as GM of government technology brands and will work with James Hanson, group publisher at GovExec, as he oversees collaboration efforts, the Washington, D.C.-based information services company said Tuesday.
GovExec said it expects the acquisition to expand its government technology audience and database, further develop its engagement platform in the public sector and build up its subscription platforms. The company wil also integrate into its portfolio several Public Sector 360 brands and platforms: FCW, Washington Technology, GCN, Defense Systems and The Fed 100.
“Public Sector 360 is a seminal acquisition for us,” said Tim Hartman, CEO of GovExec.
Hartman added that GovExec expects to build up its capabilities across data, media and marketing services areas with the addition of Public Sector 360’s actionable intelligence for government tech leaders.
GovExec Chairman Peter Goldstone served as adviser in the transaction. Growth Catalyst Partners helped finance the deal. CapM Advisors advised 1105 Media on the deal’s financial aspect.
