GovCon Vet Steve Weiss Joins Accelera as President, COO

Steve Weiss, former executive vice president for government business operations at CACI International (NYSE: CACI), officially joined Accelera Solutions Dec. 1 as president and chief operating officer of the Fairfax, Virginia-based cloud computing and mobile device services provider.

He brings to Accelera more than three decades of executive experience in operations and acquisition management.

Accelera Chairman and CEO L.C. Yi said Weiss will help expand Accelera’s business, formalize business processes, develop employee base and assist customers and partners in his new position.

Weiss previously served as corporate ombudsman at CACI where he supported ethical business practices and helped managers and employees address workplace disputes.

Before CACI, he spent 18 years at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and worked in a senior vice president role there.

Weiss’ career also includes prior service as director of business development and project manager at Whittaker Microwave; contracts administrator at DBA Systems; and contracting officer at the U.S. Air Force.

He is a member of the board of directors of Arlington, Virginia-based nonprofit Linden Resources.
