Gladstone Investment Completes Ricardo Defense Purchase

Gladstone Investment has completed its acquisition of Ricardo Defense, adding the latter to its growing portfolio of businesses.

The private equity fund said Thursday it funded the transaction with equity and senior secured debt.

In December, Gladstone Investment and Proteus Enterprises signed a definitive agreement to buy Ricardo Defense.

Christopher Lee, senior managing director of Gladstone Investment, said the publicly traded business development company will work with Proteus and Ricardo Defense President Chet Gryczan to further expand its presence and continue delivering innovative platforms to clients.

Providing Engineering Services for DOD Customers

Troy, Michigan-based Ricardo Defense helps customers across the Department of Defense address technical issues associated with fleet modernization, management and maintenance by providing engineering and systems integration support services.
