Krisstie Kondrotis
Krisstie Kondrotis, a more than three-decade business development veteran, has joined aircraft component manufacturing company GKN Aerospace as president of defense business.
Twenty-year legal professional Julie Smyth will formally join GKN Aerospace on Nov. 25 as general counsel and she will be responsible for overseeing legal, risk and compliance functions, the company said.
Both appointees will report to GKN Aerospace CEO Hans Buthker and serve on its executive committee.
Most recently, Kondrotis was senior vice president of defense programs and business development at Spirit Aerosystems. She previously held VP roles at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), CACI International (NYSE: CACI) and General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) information technology unit.
Prior to GDIT, she worked in leadership roles at Lockheed Martins (NYSE: LMT) aeronautics segment for over 20 years. Kondrotis will be based in Dallas.
Smyth previously served as chief counsel of BAE Systems‘ air and military air and information businesses. She will be based in London.
