Gina Haspel, former director of the CIA and a two-time Wash100 Award winner, and Stephen Wilson, a retired U.S. Air Force general, have joined the board of directors of BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary.
Wilson and Haspel will serve on BAE’s board through April 2024, the company said Friday.
Michael Chertoff, board chairman at BAE Systems Inc., said Haspel and Wilson bring to the board decades of experience in the national security space and their leadership will further drive the company’s efforts in supporting clients.
Haspel was confirmed in 2018 as the first female director of the CIA. She joined the agency in 1985 and held leadership roles at the agency, including deputy director and head of the National Clandestine Service.
Wilson’s nearly four decades of military service included time as vice chief of staff of the Air Force, deputy commander of U.S. Strategic Command, commander of the 8th Air Force and head of Air Force Global Strike Command. He is a command pilot who logged over 4,500 flight hours.
