Gentex has won a five-year, $95M contract to supply U.S. Special Operations Command with helmet systems designed for coxswains or boat operators.
USSOCOM is procuring the helmets to address personal equipment advance requirements of the country’s special operations forces, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The command received two proposals for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which includes two option years, and will obligate $150K at the time of award. Work will primarily take place in Simpson, Pa., through July 2024.
