General Motors’ defense business has received firm-fixed-price contracts worth $222.9M combined to manufacture its infantry squad vehicle offering and facilitate initial deliveries of the platform to the U.S. Army.
The Army awarded GM Defense a $214.3M contract to procure the company’s ISV platform along with installation kits, hardware and logistics services, the Department of Defense said Friday.
In the same notice, the DoD said that GM Defense secured a separate $8.6M award for the initial delivery of ISVs as well as integrated support services for the vehicles.
The service branch received three bids for each of the contracts through an online solicitation process and will determine funding and work locations upon issuance of individual orders.
GM Defense will perform work under the first contract through June 24, 2028, and the second through June 24, 2021.
