A General Dynamics(NYSE: GD) business has secured a potential five-year, $95.8M blanket purchase agreement to provide cloud services for the U.S. Navy.
The BPA has a one-year base term worth approximately $22.4M and four option years and was awarded through General Dynamics Information Technologys position on the General Services Administrations Schedule 70 contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
GDIT will work with Carahsoft, Beyond20 and Minburn Technology Group as well as cloud services providers Amazon Web Services and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) to support the Navys cloud adoption efforts under the BPA.
General Dynamics inherited the contract from CSRA, which the former acquired in April.
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command awarded the BPA through a competitive procurement process with four quotations received via GSAs eBUY portal.
The agreement includes software as a service, platform as a service, infrastructure as a service and other offerings that comply with DoD’s Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide at impact levels 2, 4 and 5.
