General Dynamics Unit Lands Potential $394M Contract to Sustain Navy LCS Combat Mgmt System

A business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has received a potential five-year, $393.8M contract to help the U.S. Navy sustain the integrated combat management system and associated elements of Littoral Combat Ships.

General Dynamics Mission Systems will develop, integrate, test and deliver baseline modifications for the LCS ICMS and support the integration of upgrades into in-service vessels, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Work also covers fielding and technical services, hardware engineering and equipment procurement services.

The firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-incentive-fee and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a base value of $90.7M and would reach its potential value if the service branch exercises all options.

Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $1M at the time of award from the Navy’s fiscal 2018 other procurement funds.

Work is scheduled to occur through October 2024 in Massachusetts and San Diego.
