A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has received a potential five-year, $244 million contract to provide training support services for the U.S. Navys Center for Surface Combat Systems.
General Dynamics Information Technology will provide warfare training and curriculum development support for CSCS 15 learning areas and detachments as well as international programs, the company said Wednesday.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division awarded the contract that has a base term of one year and four one-year options.
Rich Farinacci, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technologys professional services and training solutions sector, said the company will work to help CSCS provide surface ship combat training needed to achieve surface warfare advantage.
General Dynamics has been a provider of tactical warfare and domain training support to CSCS since 2012.
