General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) land systems business has received a $258 million contract modification to update the U.S. Army‘s Stryker personnel carriers.
The modification covers the alteration of 116 flat-bottom vehicles to the Stryker A1 Infantry Carrier Vehicle configuration, the company said Tuesday.
The Stryker A1 features a 910-ampere alternator and in-vehicle network, a 450-horsepower engine, 60,000-pound suspension and a Double-V Hull design for protection from improvised explosive devices and mines.
Work under General Dynamics Land Systems‘s contract modification will run through March 2020.
