General Dynamics Subsidiary Secures $147M Army Contract for Stryker Vehicles

The U.S. Army has awarded a potential $146.7 million contract to General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) land systems business arm to supply flat-bottom hull Stryker vehicles.

The Department of Defense said Thursday the two-year firm-fixed-price contract is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2024, and includes orders.

General Dynamics Land Systems’ Stryker fleet of armored fighting vehicles features 18 variants, including flat-bottom, double V-hull designs. The cavalry is designed to ensure rapid movement and increase survivability in combat operations.

The contract is being managed by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, which received one bid through its online solicitation process. The service branch will determine the funding and work locations on a per-order basis.
