General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) have secured contract modifications from the U.S. Army to supply new and recapitalized cartridges for 120mm tank training ammunition.
The service awarded a potential $58.9M modification to General Dynamics™ ordnance and tactical systems business and a $36.8M modification to Northrop™s innovation systems business for M1002 production cartridges and M865 recap cartridges, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
General Dynamics will perform work at its St. Petersburg, Fla.-based facility through Oct. 12, 2021, while Northrop will complete contract work at its site in Plymouth, Minn., until Oct. 31, 2020.
The Army originally awarded the contracts in March 2017 to General Dynamics and Orbital ATK, which now operates as Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems following its acquisition in June 2018.
