Exela Technologies, an Irving, Texas-based business process automation company, and General Dynamics information technology business will provide support services for the Department of Veterans Affairs under the Veterans Intake, Conversion and Communication Services program.
GDIT, which teamed up with Exela to compete for the VA initiative, was one of the six companies that secured a spot on the potential five-year, $900M VICCS contract, Exela said Friday.
Kamal Narang, vice president and general manager of GDITs federal health sector, said the company is pleased to collaborate with Exela to implement the platforms needed to facilitate the delivery of services to VA through the program.
Our Nations Veterans deserve quicker administration of benefits, using higher qualities of data, with an increase in the overall insight into the benefits administration programs, Narang added.
The award seeks to expand Exelas role in processing the benefits claims of veterans and builds on the partnership between GDIT and Exela over a data intake and business process support contract, which VA awarded in 2015.
