A General Atomics business unit has received a potential $134 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to produce ground control stations for remotely piloted aircraft.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will produce block 30 terminals at a company facility in Poway, California, and is expected to finish work by Jan. 31, 2020, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The Air Force obligated nearly $53 million in fiscal 2016 and 2017 aircraft procurement; and research, development, test, and evaluation funds at the time of award.
