General Atomics will deliver more MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles under a $43.7 million sole-source contract from the U.S. Air Force as part of a foreign military sale agreement with France.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday the undefinitized contract action covers France’s second MQ-9 system.
France previously placed a potential $1.5 billion order for 16 Reapers and associated equipment and services in 2013.
General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business will perform work for the new contract in California through Oct. 31, 2017, DoD said.
