General Atomics‘ aeronautical business unit has received a one-year, $94.6 million contract modification to provide logistics services for the U.S. Army‘s Gray Eagle Block Zero unmanned aircraft systems.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday the Army obligated $22.8 million in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Gray Eagle UAS is built to support the Army’s Aviation Modernization Plan as well as the service branch’s attack, reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition operations.
Work under the modification will occur in Poway, California, through Dec. 15, 2018.
General Atomics’ aeronautical systems unit also received a $462.1 million modification from the Army in October to help maintain and repair the military branch’s fielded Gray Eagle UAS fleet.
The company was also awarded a $221.6 million contract modification in May to deliver associated hardware and support services for the Army’s extended-range Gray Eagle UAS units.
