General Atomics aeronautical systems business tested aDynetics-built small glide munition aboard a long-range variant of the MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system during a flight demonstration at a military test range in California.
The GBU-69B lightweight munition works to defeat threats in multi-domain environments and reach extended distances at maximum altitude, General Atomicssaid Thursday.
David Alexander, president of General Atomics aeronautical systems business, said the small glide munition will augment Gray Eagle Extended Range’s mission capacities and survivability in austere environments.
