General Electric’s (NYSE: GE) aviation subsidiary has received a potential 10-year, $318M contract to provide a range of support services for the U.S. Air Force’s Engine Component Improvement Program.
GE Aviation will develop engineering changes and repair processes for aircraft engine parts, design support equipment modifications and address service-identified deficiencies, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The company will also help the military branch sustain or extend the life span of aircraft engines under the sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The AF Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity and is obligating $503,338 at the time of award.
DoD expects contract work to conclude by Dec. 31, 2029.
