General Dynamics Unit to Supply Army More Direct-Fire Combat Vehicles With $258M Award

A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business will continue manufacturing M10 Booker combat vehicles for the U.S. Army under a $257.6 million contract modification.

The service branch ordered 26 additional units of the vehicle formerly called Mobile Protected Firepower for its second low-rate initial production phase, the company said Thursday.

General Dynamics Land Systems designed the M10 Booker to accommodate up to four military personnel and equip them with a large-caliber cannon, a thermal viewer and systems designed to increase their protection and survivability on the battlefield.

GDLS was awarded a $1.14 billion contract in June 2022 to build as many as 96 new vehicles for Army infantry brigade deployment.

The Army introduced the M10 Booker designation at the branch’s birthday festival held June 10.
