GDIT Awarded $1.8B Army Flight Simulation Training Support Contract

General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business has received a potential 12-year, $1.79 billion contract from the U.S. Army to provide flight simulation training support services.

Army Contracting Command solicited offers and received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The service branch will obligate funds and determine work locations upon award of each task order and expects contract work to run through March 31, 2035.

GDIT supports the Army’s Flight School XXI program by serving as a prime contractor focused on delivering simulators and other training services to back rotary wing flight training activities at Fort Rucker in Alabama.
