GD Electric Boat Secures $323M Navy Contract Modification for Submarine Engineering Support

Navy Contract Action for Submarine Technical, Engineering Support

The Department of Defense said Monday the General Dynamics subsidiary will perform work in Connecticut, Georgia, Washington, Hawaii and Rhode Island through September 2025.

Naval Sea Systems Command is obligating $16.5 million in fiscal year 2025 other procurement funds; $14.3 million in FY 2025 operations and maintenance funds; and $367,000 in FY 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds.

Navy Contract Modification for Submarine Repair Parts

In July, Electric Boat received a potential $160 million Navy cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract to establish five contract line-item numbers to facilitate the procurement of onboard repair parts for Virginia-class submarines.

Work on the contract action will occur in Groton, Connecticut, through November 2029.
