Gary Goodwin Takes on CEO Role at American Rheinmetall Munitions

Gary Goodwin, formerly president and CEO at Nammo Defense Systems, has been named chief executive of the U.S.-based munitions division of German defense company Rheinmetall, according to a LinkedIn post published Monday.

He took the helm at American Rheinmetall Munitions after four years at Nammo Defense Systems, a Mesa, Arizona-headquartered subsidiary of Norwegian ammunition and rocket engine manufacturer Nammo.

Previously, Goodwin was president of Nammo Pocal and managed the overall profit and loss functions for a company that offers full and short-range practice mortar ammunition to the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.

His industry career includes time as chief operating officer at Elgin Fastener Group; president and regional general manager at UTC Fire & Security, now part of Carrier; vice president of manufacturing at White Brothers Performance; and VP and general manager at Envirotronics.
